The fire was extinguished by 12:13hrs. Crews in breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets and one main jet. An investigation will be carried out to establish the cause of the fire.

FIRE CREWS are tackling a fire in a second floor flat in William Street, Grays.
The incident commander reports that the flat is completely smoke logged.
