A POPULAR children’s pre-school has been praised by Ofsted.
The government inspectors came to see the pre-school based in Blackshots Fields last month and have written a glowing report.
The report states:
1.Children are safe and well cared for in a calm, safe environment because staff have a good understanding of how to safeguard children in their care. Children are happy and secure because of the strong bonds they have formed with the adults.
2. Children make good progress in their learning and development because of the good systems in place for observing and assessing children’s progress. This information is used to plan interesting learning opportunities for the children.
3. Children’s self-confidence and independence are particularly well promoted because staff ensure that resources are well presented, so that children can make their own choices.
4. Strong partnerships with parents and external agencies mean that children receive the support they need to enable them to make progress.
5.The setting is well led and managed. Systems for monitoring and evaluating the quality of the provision are effective in securing continuous improvement.
