Chafford man up in drink-driving rap

    A CHAFFORD man is due to appear in court after being stopped for allegedly drinking and driving.

    Pavels Popovs, a 37-year-old man from Dudley Close, Chafford Hundred, is due to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court charged with drink driving on December 18, 2014.

    Among the other arrests in the county were:

    A 24-year-old man from Buckhurst was arrested on December 1, 2014 and later charged. Tommy Bishop of Kings Place been released on bail to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on December 16, 2014.

    Asadollah Zare, a 38-year-old man from Cowpar Mews, Braintree has also been charged with failing to provide a specimen of breath and is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on December 18, 2014.

    Two more men have been arrested on suspicion of drink driving offences.

    A 26-year-old man from Billericay was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving following a fatal collision on Roxwell Road, Chelmsford on December 1, 2014. The man was then further arrested on suspicion of drink driving. He has been released on bail pending further investigation until April 10, 2014.

    A 20-year-old man from Clacton was arrested on suspicion of being unfit to drive through drink or drugs after a collision in North Road, Great Clacton on December 2, 2014. He has been released on bail pending further investigation until February 19, 2014.
