A REFUSE COLLECTOR who was killed when a HGV crashed into a bin lorry has been named as 37-year-old Wayne Benson, who lived in Crouch Road, Chadwell St Mary.
The Thurrock Council worker died from his injuries after he was reportedly thrown from the vehicle following the collision outside the St Clements depot in Oliver Close, West Thurrock.
A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following the crash.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident that happened at around 7.45am on Wednesday, February 18.
