ESSEX Police have confirmed that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of Ockendon Academy student, Toni Connell.
The Eriff Drive school was plunged into mourning after the death of the Year 11 student was announced on their website.
An Essex Police spokesperson said:
"Police attended an address in Frances Gardens, South Ockendon, at just after 7.45pm on Wednesday, February 26 following reports from the ambulance service that a teenager was unwell and the helimed was required to land in the area.
The 15-year-old was treated at the scene and was taken to hospital for treatment.
She sadly died in hospital the next day (Thursday, February 26).
Specially trained police officers are offering support to her family and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.
"Her death is not being treated as suspicious.
