Ryman Div One North
Burnham Ramblers 1 v 3 Thurrock
EARLIER this season, this was just the type of game that Thurrock would lose.
But despite a couple of wobbles, the Fleet marched on and grabbed another three points as they continue their quest for promotion.
Thurrock opened the scoring with a goal by Ross Wall in the 24th minute. The Ramblers may be bottom of the league but they are doughty opponents and so it was no surprise that they equalised in the 45th minute through Charlie Burns.
But goals by L’hereux Mega in the 54th minute and Leslie Thompson in the 75th minute made certain of yet another three points for the Fleet.
With eleven games to go, they are just two points off the play off places.
There is a long way to go but these are again exciting times for the Fleet.
Next up: Away at Thamesmead on Saturday.
