In English Tourism Week: Which tourist attraction did Jackie Doyle Price choose?

FIFTEEN MPs from across Essex have helped Visit Essex launch the campaign to encourage their constituents to explore, experience and enjoy this beautiful and fascinating county.

Live Local, Love Local coincides with English Tourism Week 2015 (14-22 March) and is designed to celebrate and promote all that Essex has to offer.

The MPs have selected a fascinating selection of places, steeped in culture and history as well as throwing a light on the rich architecture and aesthetic qualities of our dear county.

Sir Alan Haselhurst selected Audley End, Simon Burns selected Hyland House and Dame Angela Watkinson chose the Upminster Windmill.

So where did Thurrock MP, Jackie Doyle-Price chose? Was it the Tilbury Fort, the homes of Daniel Defore and Joseph Conrad or the Dell or Purfleet Museum or the High House Production Park?

Nope, Ms Doyle-Price chose Partyman at Lakeside.

So there isn’t any confusion, if you see Jackie Doyle Price walking around Thurrock over the next two months, with a bunch of strangely dressed clowns….(oh if you are going to do your own jokes…..)

Inviting each of the county’s MPs to support this campaign, Visit Essex Chairman George Kieffer wrote: “Our objective is to promote tourism, increase visitor numbers, and generate income for Essex tourism and hospitality businesses. A key aim is to improve awareness among Essex residents about what their county has to offer and the experiences they can enjoy on their doorstep, increasing their sense of civic pride.”

With offers including 2 for 1 on admission and substantial discounts at nearly forty fantastic locations, there’s plenty to encourage people to explore, experience and enjoy. From stately homes and castles, to restaurants and hotels, plus zoos, farm parks, museums and much, much more.
