FOLLOWING Tuesday’s incident at Derwent Parade in South Ockendon and the continued high winds throughout Wednesday, Thurrock Council contractors are now working to remove material from the site.
The council aims to weatherproof the homes so the affected families will be able to move back as soon as practicable, hopefully over the coming weekend.
All the families are safe and either temporarily staying with family or in hotel accommodation supplied by the council’s Housing Department.
