THE Chadwell St Mary Centre will be hosting a bake sale on Thursday 9th April in the Chadwell St. Mary Centre. The bake sale will start at 10:30 am, running until they have run out of confectionaries.
They will have a grand assortment of cakes available, as well as other confectionaries such as cookies and brownies. There will also be tea and coffee available.
The money raised will be donated to The Jane Packer Foundation, which was set up to help raise funds for Brain Tumour research. The Brain Tumour Association currently has three centres which are only maintained by public donations and events.
Jane Packer was born and lived in Chadwell St. Mary, and was a highly accomplished florist.
Her bouquets were used at Prince Andrew’s wedding and her design used as the victory bouquets at the London 2012 Olympics.
Sadly Jane passed away from a brain tumour in 2011, aged 51.
