LABOUR’S pink bus came to Corringham Town Centre on Tuesday 7th April with exactly one month until the General Election.
Margaret Hodge MP for Barking spent time with South Basildon and East Thurrock candidate Mike Le-Surf and Labour’s East Thurrock local women candidates, Theresa Wodehouse, Linda Hall and Ella Vine along with members of the local party.
There was a great response on the street for Labour policy including 25 hours per week free childcare for 3 & 4 year olds and how Labour are increasing the representation of women in parliament.
Mike Le-Surf said: "I was delighted to have the support of Labour women and arrange for the Pink Bus to come to Corringham. Labour will listen to women’s concerns and make sure our policies reflect the needs of women living in the constituency. Four out of five of our East Thurrock candidates are women and we look forward to their election to local government on May 7th."
