DAVY Down Trust hosts its seventh Strawberry Tea in aid of BreastCancerCare on Sunday July 5th from 2 to 5 pm and the park itself, off Pilgrims Way in North Stifford will be open all day. Â
A spokesperson said: "The event will be in memory of Diana Hale, known to many in Thurrock, who lost her battle against cancer in 2013.
"It is an opportunity to enjoy a wonderful cream tea, with strawberries, scones and jam, and relax with friends and family. There are lots of giant games for the children and a tombola and raffle. No effort is needed except to get here and eat!
"We want to beat last years total of £300 and look forward to a fun day and plenty of sunshine..
"Proceeds from the cream tea will go to a national breast cancer charity and St Luke’s Hospice and the local Macmillan Nurses team".
