FIRE CREWS have been called to a rubbish pile on fire at the rear of Railway Cottages, London Road, Purfleet. The pile measures approximately 15 x 5 metres and crews report 75 percent of the pile is well alight. Firefighters are using two hose reels to tackle the fire.
This is the third time in three days that firefighters have been called to rubbish alight at the same location, ECFRS were also called on June 14 at 16:31hrs and June 15 at 18:31hrs.
