Thurrock Council is set to change its bank details

THURROCK Council is changing its banker at the end of this month and some people who pay by standing order will have to ensure their details are also changed to the new accounts.

Thurrock has banked with the Co-operative Bank for many years, but the Co-op no longer offers banking services to local authorities and so, from 1 July, the council will be changing its bankers to the Royal Bank of Scotland/National Westminster Bank.

People who pay council bills by Standing Order need to contact their bank and amend the existing Standing Order to make payment to the following bank details Natwest Bank. Sort Code: 60-09-11. Account Number: 72381361. Instalment amounts remain the same.

The easiest way to pay is by Direct Debit which can be set up online at thurrock.gov.uk/direct debit.
