ELLANDI’S impressive asset management momentum continues at the Grays Shopping Centre with six key lettings.

The community shopping centre investor have secured a number of existing tenants whilst also improving the tenant line up with the addition of two new retailers.

Former Asda Chief Executive Andy Bond’s Pep & Co opened a 3,300 sq ft unit at 26 West Mall aimed at mums on a budget. Another new addition to the scheme arrived in June when Burger King opened for trade at 24 West Mall after signing a 20 year lease on a 3,300 sq ft unit.

A number of existing retailers have also pledged their future to the shopping centre with Shoezone & Farmfoods committing to an additional 5 years whilst negotiations have been successful with Speedlone Finance trading as Albermarle & Bond, who have been secured for 5 years following their fall into administration.

Sports Direct have converted their temporary lease to a permanent lease following a successful 18 months in the scheme. They have signed up for an additional 5 years at their existing unit in 12-14 Town Centre Square.

“We continue to look at ways to enhance the shopping experience for our customers and these new lettings serve to strengthen the retail offer available in both the town and the centre,” says Richard Hutchinson, Asset Manager of Grays Shopping Centre.

“We are also delighted to see a number of retailers showing their commitment to the centre which is a great testament to the scheme, demonstrating the confidence that retailers have in Grays.

Rest assured, however, that we are not resting on our laurels and that we are currently working on building on this success with a number of exciting lettings to come”
