GRAYS Athletic has been made aware of an illegal approach by Fleetwood Town for Blues midfielder Nathan Ferguson.
A spokesperson said: "The club has been working hard with Nathan to get his fitness levels back up as he returned from a shoulder injury.
"Nathan had stated to manager Mark Bentley that he would be available for Saturdays game against Lewes at Mill Field.
This news has come completely out of the blue and we are now working with the FA and Nathan’s agent who has just been made aware of the situation.
A club spokesman said " We are extremely disappointed with this latest development. We have been working with Nathan to regain match fitness and we are extremely disappointed at Nathan’s actions. We will now be seeking legal guidance from the FA who have been made aware of Fleetwood’s illegal approach’
The club will not comment further on this issue until all parties have been spoken to
