SO WHAT was your excuse for not doing the Thurrock parkrun on Saturday morning?
Bit early, bit cold, bit long, note from your mum, dog’s eaten your trainers etc etc.
Well just to make you feel really bad, 87-year-old Arthur Tullett ran the course in a very respectable 47.25 sec.
The race was won by Harry Tullett in 18.31. Dave Tullett came second in 18.42. Peter Tullett came 24th in 24.17 and Josie Tullett came 32nd in 25.30.
83 runners took part in the second Thurrock parkrun which is run over two laps of Orsett Heath.
The gun goes off at 9am but you run at your own pace, guided round the course by the friendly marshalls.
So, see you at a parkrun on Saturday then?
