Another Grays man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

ANOTHER Grays man has been arrested in connection with an incident which took place in Loughton High Road on Friday evening where a man suffered life changing injuries.

A 21-year-old man from Grays presented himself at an Essex Police station this morning. He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently helping officers with their enquiries.

This follows the arrest of another two men, aged 19 and 21, both from Grays, over the weekend. They have been released on police bail pending further enquiries until February 14, 2016.

A man arrested on Friday night was charged with attempted murder and appeared before Chelmsford Magistrates Court this morning (Monday, November 8).

Paul Saunders, 30, a labourer of Biggin Lane, Grays, has been remanded in custody until his next appearance at Chelmsford Crown Court on January 18.

The victim, who is in his 20s, remains in hospital in a serious but not life threatening condition.
