Police are appealing for witnesses after a homeless man was left with a broken leg after a vicious assault by teenagers in Grays.
The incident happened when the man, aged in his 50s, was outside Burger King under a blanket in the High Street on Thursday (November 12).
The victim was approached by teenage boys who asked if he had any money at around 9.45pm.
When he said he didn’t, they grabbed his blanket.
The man kept hold of it and was then assaulted causing facial injuries and a broken left leg.
The teens all ran off in the direction of Morrison’s.
The first is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build, with mousey blond hair. He was wearing a grey hooded top and blue jeans. He is described as being aged around 16.
The second is also white, 5ft 9ins tall of medium build. He had dark brown hair and was wearing a blue or black hooded top and dark trousers. He is described as being aged about 16 or 17.
The third was also white, shorter around 4ft 6ins tall, and slim. He had light brown hair and was wearing a blue and yellow patterned coat, light grey jogging bottoms and was believed to be younger than the other two at around 14 or 15.
