YOUNG PEOPLE from across Thurrock are invited to join in an afternoon of singing at Hassenbrook Academy in Stanford-le-Hope on Saturday, December 5.
Whether you are completely new to singing or have some experience, there will be plenty to learn and enjoy at the Big Sing.
Aga Serugo-Lugo and Rob Gildon, both energetic and inspiring Royal Opera House vocal leaders, known for their unusual approach to singing, will help everyone to find their voice.
The Big Sing afternoon will involve learning pieces of opera and working together to make them sound unlike any opera heard before.
The Thurrock Big Sing will culminate with a dynamic performance, drawing together everything learnt during the session, to share with family and friends, Fun, learning and laughter guaranteed.
Gabrielle Forster-Still, Deputy Head of Royal Opera House Thurrock said: "We’re very excited to bring the Big Sing to Thurrock.
"All young people are welcome to come and have fun exploring their voice and new types of music.
"It doesn’t matter if you’ve never sung before or if you have had lots of practice.
"Friends and family will be treated to an exciting informal performance at the end of the day – plus tea and mince pies to welcome the festive season!"
The Royal Opera House Thurrock Big Sing Afternoon will take place on Saturday 5 December 1.45pm – 6.00pm
It is open to young people aged 8-25 years who live, work or study in Thurrock.
