Police appeal after road smash in Orsett leaves man with life threatening injuries

ESSEX Police are appealing for witnesses following a road collision in Orsett which has left a man with life-threatening injuries.

It happened at around 2.30am on Saturday, November 21 on the A128 near Orsett Hall. A 55-year-old male pedestrian was in collision with a recovery vehicle.

The man, who lives in the West Horndon area, suffered serious head and arm injuries and was taken to the Royal London Hospital for treatment. He remains in a life-threatening condition.

Officers are asking for any witnesses to the collision to come forward, particularly any road users who saw the pedestrian walking in the road before the collision.
