AN OCKENDON woman has paid her Â£50 fixed penalty fine for littering from a vehicle.
On 16 October, Ms Keedra Farnan of Tamar Drive, South Ockendon was witnessed by an Environment Enforcement Officer throwing a cigarette butt from a vehicle in Belhus Park, South Ockendon.
Portfolio holder for public protection, Cllr Jane Pothercary said: “At the beginning of November we prosecuted two people for similar offences.
“I’m pleased to hear that officers are taking reports seriously and acting upon them swiftly.
“Let this be the message litterbugs and fly tippers hear – Thurrock is not your bin and if you use it as such we will fine you.”
