THE CHRISTMAS lights on Aveley High Street are set to be switched on tonight (Wednesday).
A spokesperson for the Aveley community said: "So why not join us on Wednesday 2nd December at 4pm around the tree in Aveley High Street where Cllr Tim Aker and Tommy South of Thurrock Football Club will be doing the honours and switching on Aveley’s Christmas Lights.
"It is thanks to the kind donations from these two people that we have our lights this year".
Entertainment will be provided by Aveley Primary School.
