For the love of Febe: The Allison family run for Little Havens

A STIFFORD CLAYS family ran in a Santa Fun Run to fund raise for their beloved daughter, who died when she was just one year old.

Sarah and Luke Allison joined more than 200 people for the annual Santa Fun Run at Wat Tyler Country Park, Pitsea, to raise money for Little Havens Hospice.

Febe, was born in December 2005 with Trisomy 13, a genetic disorder in which a person has additional chromosomes.

The family were referred to Little Havens shortly after Febe’s diagnosis on New Year’s Eve.

Febe died at Little Havens on December 12 the following year – her first birthday.

Sarah, 37, and Luke, 38, took part in the run with their two children, Toby, eight and Sadie, seven.

Sarah said: "This is the first fundraising event we’ve done together as a family for Little Havens.

Our friends have run the marathon and taken part in the Great Pier Swim, but I think it was too soon for us, though we’ve done what we can over the years.

"As it is Febe’s 10th birthday, we wanted to celebrate and mark the occasion together as a family and thought Run Santa Runwould be a great event for us all to take part in.
