Still time for people in Tilbury to have their say

PEOPLE in Tilbury have been asked to make their views known about the latest plans to renovate Civic Square.

Now local councillor Lynn Worrall is urging more people to make their views heard.

Cllr Worrall says she is excited about the future of Tilbury, but wants to make sure Tilbury people are speaking up.

She said: “The two sessions in the library were great. We heard from partner organisations about plans for brand new shops, offices and community facilities as well as a new health centre complex.

“Tilbury is very close to my heart – I live here and work for the people here and I want to make sure that when the plans are realised and when work starts everybody is involved.

“Opportunities like this must be grasped and it is important local people are listened to, so if you have an idea or a concern make sure you share it with us.”

Cllr Worrall added: “I have asked the regeneration team to extend their consultation until Sunday, 20 December and to make it available online.

“I am really excited about where these plans may lead. We’ve had promises before, but I am determined that as long as I have a say, Tilbury’s voice will be heard and what we want to see will actually happen.”
