ON Thursday 10th December, children from Corringham Primary School came to decorate the first Christmas Tree to be seen in Lampits Hill for many years.
Local residents are also invited to add any decorations they would like to contribute.
Thanks to the generosity of the Corringham, Fobbing & Homesteads Forum’s funding and support from RATA & councillor Deb Stewart, Old Coringham has been included in this year’s Christmas plans.
After a humble start of one planter and a few hanging baskets this summer, the Corringham Flowering Village project hope to continue working with the Forum and RATA to create a bigger floral impact next year.
The village team are already planning locations for the two railing troughs kindly donated by the Stanford Blooming Marvels project, and the two new planters which were funded by the Forum and built by a generous local.
The long term vision is to make Old Corringham look pretty, and to once again have a whole row of Christmas Trees along Lampits Hill, a sight fondly remembered by older residents.
