THURROCK Harrier’s young 11-year-old hopeful Oreofeoluwa Adepegba has won both the first and second Lee Valley Minithon Opens this year by a clear 20 and 18 points respectively.
Oreofe obtained new PBs in HJ, 60m, 60mH and 200m over the two events.
He was presented with his gold medals by Shelayna Oskan-Clarke, UK 800m runner and Morgan Lake UK Heptathlete, both possibles for Rio 2016 Team GB.
Also taking part in the 1st Open was Aaron Akomolede who secured a silver medal with PBs in LJ 60m & 60mH and in the 2nd Tilly Monk obtained Bronze with PBs in LJ and 600m.
Well done to these three Thurrock Harriers year 7 students.
