Thurrock SC Last Chance Gala

More County & Regional Success

Thurrock Swimming Club held their Last Chance County Qualifying meet at Blackshots Leisure Centre. It was the last opportunity for the clubs swimmers to achieve county qualifying times for next year’s Essex championships.

Once again, another well run gala and Thurrock SC now have more County qualifiers than this year. The club also have more swimmers who have achieved East Region times with four months remaining!

Swimmers who participated were; Aaron Lambie, Abigayle Still, Aidan Wood, Albert Taylor, Amelia Patterson, Annabel Speers, Azar Aitmarri, Ben Minister, Bethany Byrne, Brian Wong, Caitlin Murray, Cate Diaz Anaya, Colin Moghina, Daisy Patterson, Daniel Ajetummobi, Eden Parkin, Eleanor Lennon, Eleanor Martin, Elise Delapperall, Ella Allen, Ethan Paraiwa, Freya Bodle, Harrison Dessoy, Harrison Jarvis, Jack Conroy, Jack Williams, Jaheim Konteh, James Edgings, James Speers, Jasmine Verlander, Jenson Hurrell, Jessica Martin, Jimmy Taylor, Kiara Marais, Kieron Harris, Lillian Tagg, Luke Crofts, Martine Tran, Matteo Castello, Michaela Taiwo, Mide Olajide, Nikita Charykin, Nonhlanhla Thole, Phoebe Brennan, Radost Milkova, Rebecca Honeywell, Rebecca West, Remy Tran, Robert Buckley, Samuel Barella, Somiya Aitmarri, Teni Ogunlesi and Tilly Mayes.


National Deaf Championships 2015

Kieron Harris from Thurrock Swimming Club participated in this year’s National Deaf Championships held in Manchester’s 50m pool.

It was another successful meet for Kieron who continues to improve every time he swims. He won four gold medals and set two British long course records in the 13 year age group category for the 50 free (30 secs) and 100 free (1.07).

His other gold medals were awarded for the 200IM and 100m breast
