THURROCK once again underlined their promotion pedigree with a good win against their tenants Romford.

The Fleet got off to a perfect start with a goal by Joe Christou in the 4th minute.

But Romford are doughty opponents and pegged Thurrock back through George Woodward in the 40th minute.

Thurrock took the lead with David Cowley scoring in the 43rd minute.

Fleet finished off proceedings through Charlie Cole in the 90th minute.

The results means Thurrock are in fourth place, six points off the top but with five games in hand.

They return to action on Saturday January 2nd with a vital match against league leaders Cray Wanderers.
