New volunteer in Thurrock website set to be launched

ngage Volunteer Centre Thurrock will be launching a new Essex wide search website for volunteer opportunities in Thurrock and across Essex.

The website will be officially launched by the Mayor of Thurrock and will be taking place on Thursday 14th January, 11am at Grays Library, Thameside Complex, Orsett Road, Grays.

This is part of a county wide launch of the new site, where Volunteer Centres will be launching it simultaneously across Essex.

Laura Hudson, Volunteer coordinator said “Volunteering has something for everyone including learning new skills, meeting new people, increasing confidence and much more. The website is a great way of seeking opportunities and as a follow up to the launch, we will be holding a free drop in volunteer recruitment fayre on 21st January, between 11am – 2pm at the Beehive Centre, West Street, Grays, RM17 6XP. We would encourage people wishing to get into volunteering to come along and talk about opportunities with local groups and charities and simply talk to other people who are volunteering over a cup of tea.

Volunteering is a great opportunity to do something different, so ‘New start, New Year, why not volunteer!’.
