Football: Three new Rocks as East Thurrock face vital week

EAST THURROCK manager John Coventry has bolstered his squad by adding three new faces.

Teenagers Jimmy Nottage and Jimmy Shepherd join on loan from League Two Dagenham and Redbridge.

Left back Nottage made an impressive debut for Rocks at Tonbridge on Saturday, while central defender Shepherd was on the bench alongside attacking midfielder Ryan McFarlane who has previously been with Heybridge Swifts.

The Rocks face Burgess Hill Town at home on Tuesday night. Dulwich Hamlet at home on Saturday afternoon and then local rivals Canvey Island on Tuesday January 26th.

Boss John Coventry said: "This is an important week as we push on in the league. We were very pleased with Saturday’s performance as was underlined by the comments from the Tonbridge manager.

"Naturally, people are looking to the Dulwich game but we have three very tough games in the heart of January."
