Grays motorist with "keys in ignition" fined for drink driving

A MAN from Grays has been fined under drink-driving legislation after being stopped by police in a car park.

Constantin Talpa, (33) of Saxton Close pled guilty at Basildon Magistrates Court on January 26th, 2016.

The charge was: "On 01/01/2016 at Grays you were in charge of a motor vehicle, namely Red Peugeot 406, on a public place, namely Bridge Road, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your breath, namely 115 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.

The circumstances were as follows: The defendant was in charge of Red Peugeot 406 in a car park in Bridge Road with the keys in the ignition and ignition turned on.

Talpa was fined £145.00 and disqualified until he passed his test.
