Rugby: Stanford under-11s do the double

Basildon U-11s vs Basildon and Benfleet U-11s

Stanford play away double header

Stanford under 11s started well against Basildon with fly half Tyler stepping his way through a broken field to open his birthday account.

The forwards of Jack ‘Grizzly’, Alex ‘Sebastion’ and Nathan were dominating up front.

Lewis ‘Tank’ then got on the end of some silky passing from Danny and Amelia to barge over.

Tyler doubled up after swooping on a loose ball courtesy of a smashing tackle from Flinn.

After the break Amelia scored a brace, the first a trademark rip and run towards the corner. Her second was one more from a big hit in midfield from Flinn and Tank that dislodged the ball for Amelia to scoop up and touch down. Final score 25-0

Against new team Benfleet, Stanford put out their newest side to make it even.

However, the speed at which this squad play was too much and The Reds showed no mercy in their 55-0 win.

Scorers were Birthday boy Tyler with 3, Slick feet Sam with 3, speedster Danny, a brace from work horse Aaron ‘A-dog’ and a try each from our newest flyers Jack and Declan.

Player of the day was Flinn for putting in a freakish amount of tackles.
