THEY say a tidy house equals a tidy mind but with Brits having the smallest homes in Europe yet the most stuff, our belongings can often get in the way of everyday life. IKEA believes that not only can the right storage solutions bring joy to our lives but they can also enable us to show-off the things that we love with pride.
IKEA Lakeside is inviting all home lovers to embrace the joy of storage by coming along to the IDEAS Festival on 20 and 21 February for a weekend of storage inspiration.
The IDEAS Festival is a perfect day out for the whole family, from fun and inspiring in-store activities, as well as lots of tips and tricks about how to display your possessions beautifully from our team of experts. You can even master the ‘art of tidying’ during an exclusive bookable workshop run by a trained life coach and IKEA experts. The workshop will give attendees insight into the revolutionary method of simplifying, organising, and storing, from how to fold clothes properly, to how to display items you love in a beautiful way. The bookable workshops will be run for IKEA FAMILY members before the store opens, with mini versions of the workshop running throughout the day for all visitors.
Get creative with your children and customise your own storage items in our in-store art and craft workshops, or be amazed by the interactive ‘Magic Boxes’ show where impossible things will happen before your eyes.
Göran Nilsson, Store Manager at IKEA Lakeside commented: “The importance of storage in the home is something that can often be overlooked – it can create space, atmosphere, and an overall sense of well-being. We all want a place to safely store and beautifully display all the things we love in the place we call home. Taking the time to organise our living space can have a huge impact on the efficiency of our day to day life, and this is something that we aim to explore through the Joy of Storage IDEAS Festival”.
All IKEA FAMILY members will have access to a whole host of special events and offers. If you’d like to sign up or find out more, then visit www.ikea.com/ms/en_GB/ikea-family.
