THE CHAIR of Thurrock Council’s Children’s Services Committee has given a stark warning to Palmer’s College after a recent Ofsted report.
Cllr James Halden made the comments on Tuesday night at the beginning of the meeting.
Cllr Halden said: "We have to recognise that there is a problem at Palmer’s College and we will be looking at the situation."
Amongst the following criticisms made by Ofsted was: "A significant proportion of lessons fail to inspire, challenge and motivate learners to achieve high standards, and not enough teachers have the highest expectations of what all learners can achieve".
