A CHILDCARE provider in Thurrock has received a glowing Ofsted report.
The government watchdog inspected the centre at 64 Whitehall Lane in Grays in January.
The report states:
The manager and senior staff are experienced and well qualified. They use effective teaching strategies and plan good quality learning experiences. All children make good progress and develop the skills they need for future learning.
Children are happy and settle quickly because the key-person system is effective. Staff have a warm and caring rapport with the children and are very knowledgeable about individual needs and interests. This helps to meet children’s emotional needs and care routines.
Children behave well and learn to share and show respect for others. Staff are strong role models, who offer plenty of positive praise and encouragement. This helps to boost children’s self-esteem.
Staff successfully work in partnerships with parents to support children’s care and learning. There are good two-way systems for sharing information about children’s needs and their achievements. Parents highlight how much their children enjoy being at the nursery and offer positive feedback about their children’s progress.
The management is focused on driving improvement. Effective supervision arrangements are in place. The manager carries out regular observations to help identify the staff’s training needs. This helps to strengthen the quality of teaching and learning.
