Thurrock Council go to court over "unauthorised encampment" in Grays car park

THURROCK Council has made an application to the court for the removal of "persons unknown" from a car park in Grays.

The application arrived in the court listings at Chelmsford magistrates court on Monday morning (Feb 15th).

The application is as follows:

"Complaint that persons and the vehicles in which they are residing are present on land, namely Thames Road car park, Grays, Essex, in contravention of a direction given under section 77 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994.

In accordance with section 78 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994.
