FIRE Crews were called to a derelict building in Tank Hill Road, Purfleet, formerly used as a MOT garage, on fire.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire by 12:50hrs.
Police assisted crews at the incident scene. The fire was started deliberately.
