A desperately disappointing defeat for the resilient ladies.

Thurrock needed to draw this game to avoid relegation.

Old Loughts shocked the ladies in the first seconds of the game,when a player took the ball from the push back and ran straight through the defence and scored a fine goal.

Ts shook themselves off and attacked with force.SHANMON HARVEY was in formidable form as she ran rings around the loughts defence.

Thurrocks determination paid off.

A FAY TUFFEE searching ball was put through for JACKIE simmonds to finish off.

A defensive lapse of concentration saw loughts take the lead again

Thurrock were not for beating and fought with incredible force. A long pass was sent into the circle and Paige Green was perfectly placed to deflect the ball into the net.

The onslaught from loughts then took place!!

Thurrock were stunned when loughts scored 2 quick goals.

Captain CHARLOTTE ADNAMS rejuvenated her team with an excellent game.this was rewarded with a great opportune goal.

Ts worked hard to get the equaliser but to no avail.this means they end the season 2nd from bottom

Thurrock now have an agonising wait to see if the league will relegate 1 or 2 teams.

Thurrock’s performances in the later part of the season have been excellent and the team should be proud of the fight back

East Men’s League. Division 7 southeast. Crostyx men’s 3rd team v Thurrock men’s 2nd team.

Thurrock won 3-2.

Two goals from veteran striker Neil Donovan and a winner from Jordan Salmon ensured Thurrock’s promotion spot finishing third and making it a good end to a successful season.

Another fantastic goalkeeping display by Danny Hick played as much a part in the win as the goal scorers as he has all season.
