THE Met Office has forecast dry conditions with sunny spells up to a ‘very pleasant’ 15C (59F) until Wednesday, but it’s best to have brollies at the ready from Maundy Thursday, the day schools break up for Easter.
Meteorologist Mark Wilson said: ‘It’s still a few days away, but it does unfortunately look like we will get a breakdown of the weather just before Easter.
‘As we head into the weekend, bands of rain will push across the country and the weather will become more unsettled. There will be showers in many areas and stronger winds as well.
‘But it’s not going to be a complete write-off – there will be sunny interludes.’
Temperatures will remain around average throughout the week, with highs of 9 in the north and 12 in the south. But it could feel ‘quite chilly’ overnight, with temperatures close to freezing.
