TWO women from South Ockendon are facing orders by the courts to have their dogs put down.
Theresa Green, 40, of Callan Grove, South Ockendon was charged with the following:
"You are an owner of a dog, namely a Pit Bull Terrier type named Kash and the applicant seeks an order for destruction of the dog.
In accordance with Section 4B of the dangerous dogs act 1991.
The court stated that: "Unless an exemption is obtained within two months of this order, the dog Kash, shall be destroyed.
Reason: Not constitute danger to public safety and Mrs Green fit and proper person to be owner.
Miss Green has been ordered to pay costs of £1200 to Essex Police.
Jade Holland, 27, of Mollands Lane, South Ockendon was charged with the following
"You are an owner of a dog, namely a Pit Bull Terrier type named Marlo and the applicant seeks an order for destruction of the dog".
In accordance with Section 4B of the dangerous dogs act 1991
The court stated that: "Unless an exemption is obtained within two months of this order, the dog Marlo shall be destroyed.
Reason: Not constitute danger to public safety and Jade Holland fit and proper person to be owner.
Miss Holland has been ordered to pay £705 costs to Essex Police.
