ESSEX Police want to hear from anyone who recognises an e-fit of a man who is wanted for questioning in relation to an aggravated burglary in South Ockendon. He is one of four men who forced their into a property in Celandine Close at 12.55am on Sunday April 3.
Investigating officer DC Clive Day said: "The men forced the front door before threatening the occupants, a man and a woman, with knives and demanding money and drugs. It appears to have been a case of mistaken identity but the men still searched the house, including a room where young children were sleeping, before leaving empty-handed and running off in the direction of Quince Tree Close.”
The man in the e-fit is describes as around 5ft 6in tall, of slim build, in his 20s and had short black afro style hair and was wearing a padded coat.
The other three men were of a similar height and build, one was black and two were white.
Anyone who recognises the e-fit or who has any other information which could help police is asked to call Grays CID on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
