TWO Thurrock parents appeared before magistrates in Basildon on Wednesday (27 April) after admitting their children failed to attend school regularly.
One mum was fined £80 for each of two children, ordered to pay £100 in costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
A second mother was fined £150 for one child’s non-attendance, ordered to pay £150 in costs and a £20 surcharge.
