A CHAFFORD man has been charged with three robberies and one attempted robbery.
Iain Banks, 30, a bricklayer, of Edmund Road, Chafford Hundred, was arrested on Tuesday May 10.
He was charged with a robbery at Tesco Express in Drake Road, Chafford Hundred, on Monday May 9; an attempted robbery at the same store on March 16; a robbery at Coral bookmakers in Clarence Road, Grays, also on March 16; and a robbery at Tesco Express in Front Lane, Cranham, on April 18.
He appeared at Basildon Magistrates’ Court yesterday, Wednesday May 11, and was remanded to appear at Basildon Crown Court on June 8.
