Stanford’s Leah runs Paris Marathon for Mary’s Meals

LEAH West, a Parishioner of ‘Our Lady & St Joseph RC Church’ in Stanford Le Hope braved the scorching Paris heat last month (April) to run in aid of the ‘Mary’s Meals’* Charity.

With over 40,000 runners, the 39th Paris Marathon took Leah and a running pal over 6 hours to complete with the familiar struggle at mile 19… and despite the searing sun, both were determined to finish, no matter what…

This was Leah’s second Marathon, running for Asthma UK three years back in London.

Leah, a local primary school teacher, helped out last year with Penny Jar Collections for Our Lady & St Joseph’s RC Church and couldn’t resist raising funds, this time for Mary’s Meals…

What a great achievement for Leah as she raised a massive £793 feeding another 65 children for an entire year.
