DETECTIVES investigating a shooting in Stanford-le-Hope want to trace a motorcyclist who may have information that could assist their investigation.
Police were called shortly before 7pm on Tuesday May 10 with reports that a man driving a silver Ford Transit van had been shot while he was sat in his vehicle at the junction of London Road and Stanford Road.
He was taken to hospital with life changing injuries. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.
The suspect is believed to have been driving a silver Mercedes C-class saloon, which drove off at speed in the direction of the Orsett Cock roundabout.
Police are keen to speak to a motorcyclist who was in the area at the time and was passed by a silver Mercedes, as he may have vital information that could assist them.
