CHADWELL St Mary councillor Russell Cherry has helped out a resident in Chadwell who had his house flooded after what has been described as "poor maintenance of surrounding drainage" which may have caused the drains to overflow and flood the ground floor.
Robert Loft said: "I am really grateful to Cllr Russell Cherry, for making sure that the Council and Anglia Water responded and helped me sort the flooding and the damage it caused."
Cllr Russell Cherry said: "We need to make sure maintenance of council properties and drainage systems are looked after to make sure issues like this don’t happen again."
