A BT Openreach road closure scheduled on Monday 11 July will no longer take place on Princess Margaret Road in East Tilbury in a bid to reduce disruption for local residents.
Thurrock Council has worked in partnership with BT to rearrange their July works to take place during an already planned closure last Sunday (12 June).
Last weekend’s closure has enabled both resurfacing and cabling works to take place at the same time.
This Saturday (18 June) the Low Street crossing in East Tilbury will be closed to enable necessary drainage works to be carried out. The crossing will be closed from 10pm Saturday night and is expected to reopen by 8am the following day.
Signs for a diverted route through Church Road, Blue Anchor Lane, Muckingford Road, Princess Margaret Road and Station Road will be clearly displayed.
Residential and business access will be unaffected by the crossing closure.
