Pop-up celebration of international culture this Saturday

THURROCK International Celebration of Culture (TICC) will be holding their 4th pop up Microfest in Grays this Saturday between 10am and 2pm.

The Pop up stage will be outside the iconic State Cinema building in George Street. Eight local community acts will perform in 20 minutes slots in a colourful and lively celebration of Thurrock.

Acts include Nepalese Dancers, an acoustic set by local rockers Indigo, Bollywood Karaoke, local singer songwriters, and the Celebration Ballet Company.

There will also be a paint off when four artists will contribute to creation of four new artworks – but with a twist!

Pupils at Temple Springs Music School who are based in George Street, will keep the party atmosphere going. The festival starts at 10am and is free.

TICC Chairman Neil Woodbridge said “There is lots of great talent in Thurrock, from so many different communities. It will be great to see it out on the streets making people happy”
