RECEPTION pupils from all four primaries within the Gateway Learning Community gathered together at Tilbury Pioneer Academy recently for a very special Teddy Bear’s Picnic. They brought along their teddy bears and their packed lunch to enjoy an afternoon of fun and lunchtime giggles in the sun.
Mrs Catherine Bignell, Deputy Headteacher at Pioneer, said “It was a delight to see all of the pupils from across the GLC gather for one big picnic! There were over 270 children who enjoyed the ‘Bear Hunt’ in the hall before going out to the school field for their picnic. It was lovely to see all of our reception children together and we definitely couldn’t have asked for better weather!”
