From Chadwell to Grays and Stanford: Councillors unhappy at answers given by Thurrock Council’s park boss

THURROCK Councillors from across the borough are still demanding answers over the state of the borough.

At a recent meeting of the council, both Labour and UKIP councillors put pressure on the portfolio holder for the environment, cllr Pauline Tolson.

UKIP councillor for Stanford East, cllr Jack Duffin received a curt reply when he pressed for a number of answers.

Cllr John Kent looked less than impressed when he wanted to know what was being done about fly-tipping in Grays.

Finally, Chadwell councillor, Barbara Rice slammed the state of the football pitches on Orsett Heath.

Fellow Chadwell councillor, Gerard Rice sent this photo and said: "These are the four new football pitches that have been allowed to grow to four feet tall I am sure you agree these needed cutting immediately and treated with weed killer so they can be used this September before £149,500 spent on creating them is completely wasted and lost".
